Lovin’ the Land, a "bring your own lunch" educational series, will be held at noon in the Conference Room at the Sublette County Library in Pinedale. The speaker for Wednesday, May 13 will be Matt Barnes. Matt is an applied rangeland scientist, experienced ranch manager, conservationist and consultant. He works with ranchers and land managers to improve rangeland stewardship. His work focuses on holistic land management, including rotational grazing tactics, and its applications for increasing stocking rates while improving property conditions. He is a writer, photographer and artist.

Those interested in this topic may also join the land trust staff and board for an informal discussion with Matt at the Green River Bar in Daniel from 5:00 – 7:00pm, May 13th.

The Green River Valley Land Trust’s mission is "to assist landowning families of Sublette County in the conservation of agricultural and ranch and natural lands, to protect open spaces, watersheds, wildlife habitat and other ecological values for the benefit of today’s inhabitants and as a legacy for future generations." The Trust currently holds 57 easements, conserving 31,935 acres.
