Each year, members of the American Mountain Men Association (AMM0 come to Pinedale for three days in May to help with Living History Days at the Museum of the Mountain Man. Schools from all around western Wyoming bring children to attend the event for an outing to the Museum. The members of the AMM volunteer their time and expertise to come and do demonstrations about the way of life for the fur trappers and traders who were involved in the Rocky Mountain fur trade. Students learned about beaver trapping, hide preparation, clothing, weapons, camp life, how to start a fire, sign language, blacksmithing, and more.
