Impending Storm Photo by Dave Bell

Spring is trying to push out winter in western Wyoming resulting in very mixed weather patterns from snow one day to sunny and warm the next. Our weather pattern for summer typically is beautiful sunny clear mornings with clouds and thunderstorms building up in the afternoons. Green leaves are starting to appear on bushes and some aspen and willow trees in Pinedale. Spring flowers are starting to make their appearance. Local shops have opened their greenhouses filled with flowers and vegetable plants.

Dave Bell took this photo of a thunderstorm recently. "Great little thunder boomer on Sunday night (May 3rd) resulted in .26" at my weather station. Feeling a lot like summer! Altho don't put away those coats yet--probably one more snow storm."
