Rockets Will Travel *Star Base Class* (July 6.. . $15) Rocketry Explore Newton's three laws of motion through straw, stomp, water, car, chemical, and solid fuel rockets. Have a blast building and testing all the types of rockets Star Base has. Each participant will take home a rocket that they fired. Rockets will be fired weather permitting.
The World of Robotics *Star Base Class* (July 7...$15) Explore the world of robotics. Using LEG0 NXT robots program your robot to drag race, sumo fight, sing and dance and create a monster to rule the world.
The Magic of Physics and Chemistry *Star Base Class* (July 8.. . $15) Explore the world of Physics and Chemistry. It's not magic, but it's still fun to learn the laws of motion, the atmosphere, chemical reactions, and what atoms can do. Try your hand at straw rockets, wind bags, blowing up marshmallows, plasma ball, alka seltzer rockets, mixing chemicals and more.
Geology Exploration (July 13 ...* $15) In collaboration with WWCC: Dr. Dana L Pertermann is Associate Professor of Anthropology and Geology at WWCC. She holds a BA in Geology, a MA in Historical Archaeology, and a PhD in Anthropology, specializing in Battlefields. Her current research includes stratigraphy of the Flaming Gorge region and archaeological investigation of the early days of Ft. Bridger.
Fossil Butte (July 17 ... $15) Students will get to see the scientific process of fossil excavation and data gathering, as well as many exhibits highlighting the fossils discovered in ancient Fossil Lake. You'd see several types of fish, turtles, mammals, birds, leaves, insects, flowers, crayfish, shrimp, and others. You'd also be able to see a fossil preparation demonstration and watch our park video. A guided tour of the park will also be a highlight of this enrichment day trip opportunity.
Sublette County Historical Tour (July 20.. . $15) Historical Tour Description: Students will be participating in a guided tour by local Historical Society Members.
