Outdoor burning strongly discouraged July 26th and 27th
July 26, 2015
Weather Update, Sunday, July 26, 8AM, Upper Green River Basin: Outdoor burning strongly discouraged today and Monday due to hot, dry, windy and unstable conditions ahead of an approaching storm system. Any fires that start could quickly become uncontrollable. Conditions worsen on Monday as the wind speeds increase across the area and a cold front moving through in the afternoon causes a sudden wind shift. Be mindful of what could cause a spark, especially campfires, welding and agricultural burning. Do not park a truck or ATV in tall grass, secure any chains involved in towing a vehicle, be careful with chainsaws and cigarettes. Fire Danger on the Bridger-Teton National Forest is still rated as Moderate with no restrictions in place.
