(Big Piney, Wyo – Oct. 26) At approximately 3:00 p.m. on October 22, the Sublette County Sheriff’s Office received a call of an unresponsive male subject at an address in Big Piney. Deputies and EMS immediately responded to the residence where they located the body of 98-year-old Paul Scherbel. Efforts by EMS and deputies to resuscitate Mr. Scherbel failed. Preliminary investigation s by SCSO deputies indicates the cause of death as natural causes.

The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office extends their deepest condolences to the friends and family of the deceased.
