Wyoming Senators push for repeal vote of Obamacare

Wyoming Senators Mike Enzi and John Barrasso delivered remarks on the Senate floor today (Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015) highlighting how the (un)Affordable Care Act, Obamacare, is resulting in skyrocketing health insurance premium costs, state insurance co-ops going out of business, and less access to quality health care. The Senate will have a vote this week on repealing the law.
Excerpts from Senator Barrasso’s remarks: "The Obama health care law is collapsing – whether the president wants to admit it or not. What they won’t tell you, is that having coverage, having insurance coverage, is not the same thing as getting medical care. In Wyoming, there’s just one company participating in the Obamacare exchange. That’s the choice on the Wyoming exchange: one."

Senator Enzi: "Obamacare still remains unworkable, unaffordable, and more unpopular than ever. For millions of Americans, the law today represents nothing more than broken promises, higher costs and fewer choices." Enzi noted that the president’s health spending law is saddling American households with more than $1 trillion in new taxes over the next 10 years. According to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), Obamacare will cost taxpayers more than $116 billion a year. In fact, on average, every American household can expect more than $20,000 in new taxes over the next 10 years."
