Nordic ski trail grooming report – January 15, 2016
January 15, 2016
Friday, January 15, 2016, 9:15AM report: All trails above groomed this morning. Trace of new snow. 5F degrees at the Nordic building about 9AM. Plan to go to the Golf Course next, will check out the CCC trails but won’t groom if don’t need it. Still a lot of wildlife up there. Be cautious and keep control of your pets. Try to avoid the Mamma and baby moose, if you see them on the trail, give them the right of way– you can always turn around if you have to and take a different trail. Thanks to all the folks who are picking up after your pets and shame on those who aren’t. We all use these trails. The Ski Club is getting together on Friday afternoons to do Nordic skiing at the Golf Course after school. Kids age 4th grade and up welcome (must be a member of the Sublette County Ski & Snowboard Association). Meet at the Pinedale ice skating rink parking lot around 2:15PM and we walk over to the Golf Course to ski until about 4ish. Bring your own equipment or some is available to borrow for the season depending on the size of the child. Contact Mike Looney for more info (call or text 307-360-8488). If your child needs a ride, might be able to arrange that. Click here for Ski Club membership info: www.sublettecountysnowsports.org
