Avalanche Awareness Clinic Feb. 13

Tip Top Search and Rescue (TTSAR) is sponsoring a free Avalanche Awareness Clinic on Saturday, Feb. 13th in Pinedale. The clinic begins in the Search & Rescue classroom at 138 N. Bridger Ave and ends at the Green River parking lot. No snowmachines needed. Learn about the destructive power of avalanches, when/why they happen, and how to have fun in the mountains while avoiding avalanche areas. TTSAR will demonstrate self-rescue and buddy-rescue techniques and hands-on training with beacon and tips for better shoveling and proper probing. Come prepared to be in the snow and bring your personal equipment if you have it. They will also have plenty to share. Ages 16 and under must be accompanied by a parent.
