Pesticide Applicator Training, How to be Gluten Free, Leadership Training

The Sublette County Extension Office is offering several classes in March.
March 1: Private Pesticide Applicator Training
Sublette County Weed and Pest, 10:00 a.m.–Noon
The training will consist of the following: A minimum of two (2) hours of training is required to certify Wyoming private applicators. The training session format is as follows:
• A verbal review of the certification requirements for Wyoming private pesticide applicators.
• A verbal review of pesticide laws and regulations.
• Training on the use of pesticides which should include safety, handling, groundwater contamination, misuse, public concerns, and disposal.
• Training on proper use of pesticide equipment and calibration.
The balance of the training session is comprised of presentations developed by the Pesticide Applicator Training Coordinator. Electives may include such items as weed, insect or disease control and could include presentations by specialists in the pesticide business such as Extension personnel, Weed & Pest Supervisors, or others involved with pesticides.
No exam. It will take at least two weeks to receive your license. You will not be able to purchase RUP’s until you receive your license.
March 10: Gluten Free Class
Sublette County Library (Pinedale) Lovatt Room at 5:30 p.m.
Who is this Gluten character? And should You be Gluten free? Understand the who, what, and why a person should be gluten free, based off of research based practices. Learn the different foods that have hidden gluten sources and what different grains or substitutes can be used for baked goods. This is Part One of a Three Part Series. March 23: Spring Leadership Training
Sublette County Library-Lovatt Room
Session 1: Leading Change (morning) 9:00 – 11:30 a.m.
New staff. Reduced budgets. Technology improvements. Whatever we call it, it equals CHANGE! We can never escape change, but we can manage it through our actions and attitudes.
Session 2: Giving Effective Feedback (afternoon) 1:00 – 3:30 p.m.
One of the most challenging skills of leadership is giving meaningful, effective feedback, yet it can offer the biggest 'bang' for our leadership 'buck'! Learn several tools and techniques to help you hone this skill.
You can attend one session or both!
Space is limited, so pre-registration is required!
Workshop costs: $20 per session, or $35 for both
