Fremont Lake ice is off!
April 24, 2016
Dave Bell sent in this photo of the ice stacking up on the shore of Fremont Lake. "The westerly winds are blowing the ice off Fremont Lake on Saturday afternoon (April 23). I would believe that Doug Olsen and Derek Jones are the first boaters on Fremont Lake this year. They sailed 39 miles around icebergs, floating ice and fishing. As the westerlies blow the ice onto the east store it stacks, cracks and repeats from the pressure below. As the ice stacks and falls it sounds like crystal china hitting the rocks. Ain’t mother nature grand!" – Dave. Click on this link for more of Dave’s scenic photos of the area: Dave Bell Photo Gallery
