A USDI Office of Inspector General investigation of the federal Mexican wolf program found misconduct by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.
Much of the allegations involved the head of the Interagency Field Team (ITC) charged in implementing the Mexican wolf recovery program, but by the time investigators examined the issue. According to the investigative report, "Our investigation substantiated many of the allegations against the former IFT coordinator, but we learned that FWS had been aware of these issues and had already reassigned her to another position by the time we received this complaint."
The report details other misconduct allegations as well.
