An equipment failure at a southeastern Idaho caused a major power outage that affected at least 18,000 customers in Idaho and northwest Wyoming on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 19 and 20. According to a story in the Jackson Hole News and Guide, outages were reported in Teton and Lincoln Counties including Alpine, Jackson, and Idaho Falls with Lower Valley Energy. It is unknown at this time if this power outage is related to the CenturyLink internet outage that occurred for many customers in Sublette County late Monday until Tuesday afternoon.
