Soundcheck Series Continues with Nashville’s Barefoot Movement July 15
by Pinedale Fine Arts Council
July 13, 2016
The Pinedale Fine Arts Council (PFAC) is proud to present Nashville bluegrass quartet The Barefoot Movement performing live Friday, July 15 at American Legion Park in Pinedale. Jackson Hole Americana quartet Screen Door Porch will open the show, which marks the second date of PFAC’s Soundcheck Summer Music Series. Music starts at 5:30 pm and admission is free.
Heartfelt, energetic, and down home. Heralded by CMT Edge as "one of the most promising bands on the bluegrass scene," the music of the Nashville based group The Barefoot Movement is as down to earth as their intention for members of their audience: sit back, relax, take your shoes off, and stay a while. All the worries and frustrations of the world melt away as the charming four-piece acoustic band takes listeners back to a simpler place and time. Whether you're seeking emotional ballads or rip-roaring barn-burners, you can expect a collection of music that offers something for everyone.
Opening band Screen Door porch delivers a Wyoming-grown fusion of Roots-Rock, Country-Blues and soulful Americana akin to "Stevie Nicks meets The Band, with Ryan Adams and Bonnie Raitt hanging out backstage" (605 Magazine).
PFAC’s Soundcheck Summer Music Series is presented by the Pinedale Fine Arts Council with support from the Town of Pinedale, the Sublette County Recreation Board, the Pinedale Travel and Tourism Commission and the Wyoming Cultural Trust. For more information visit pinedalefinearts.com.
