David Rule-Fremont Lake Pinedale resident, David Rule successfully completed a 9-mile swim from the north to south end of Fremont Lake on Sunday, August 7th.

Pinedale resident, David Rule successfully completed a 9-mile swim from the north to south end of Fremont Lake on Sunday, August 7th. The event started out with six swimmers, but several opted out and only one, John Kelly, came to within two miles of finishing.

"The swim was great, and it was even better to find out I broke Gordon Gridley’s record with a time of 5 hours 34 minutes," David said. He thanked all the volunteer lifeguards from the Pinedale Aquatic Center who helped out and Lakeside Lodge for the use of a boat.
