Town of Pinedale Special Workshop Oct. 14
To discuss water/sewer rates
by Town of Pinedale
October 10, 2016
A special workshop of the Town Council of the Town of Pinedale will be held on October 14, 2016 at the Hampton Inn Meeting Room at 7PM. The purpose of this workshop will be to discuss the Water/Sewer Rates and possibly take action.
Carl Brown from Getting Great Rates, Kathy Weinsaft of the Wyoming Association of Rural Water Systems and Robin Sims a consultant for the Town will all be in attendance. All of whom will be available to answer questions, explain rate systems, and offer new ideas to the Council Members.
The Town Council is working hard to be reasonable and equitable with the rate system. They are doing this while trying to come into compliance with Federal regulations and Wyoming state statutes. Wyoming State statutes are unambiguous about Water/Sewer regulations for municipalities of Pinedale’s size. The Town of Pinedale does not currently meet the statues which include self-sufficient financial operations to cover operation /maintenance costs, creating adequate depreciation funds, paying all salaries and wages of employees, and being able to repay grants.
The citizens of Pinedale are welcome to attend the workshop. Please remember that the Town Council is diligently looking for a solution that will enable the Town to be lawful and equitable to all citizens.
