Christmas Bird Count Jan. 1
December 13, 2016
The 117th Annual Audubon Society Christmas Bird Count is upon us! This year it will take place on Sunday, January 1, 2017. Everyone is welcome: beginning to professional birders. The "Count" is a 24 hour period in which we count and try to identify every bird seen within a 7.5 mile radius of the Pinedale Library; last year was our best yet with 2539 birds counted consisting of 46 different species.
If you would like a route, join a group, sit inside and watch your feeder, or need more information. Please contact Betty Boehm at 307-367-7018 or send an email to wildcolorpobox@hotmail.com. The day will end with a chili pot luck dinner at the Pinedale Library starting at 5:30 PM.
