The Pinedale Fine Arts Council (PFAC) is proud to present the hit Broadway musical Pump Boys & Dinettes on Tuesday, January17 at 7pm in the Pinedale Auditorium.
A high-octane feast for the ears, get ready for the full-blown musical experience of Pump Boys and Dinettes! Here, you’ll meet the talented men and women of Grand Ole Opry country, a downhome group who love fishin’, beer, and a slice of homemade pie. And they all love great music. Equipped with guitar, piano, bass, cello, ukulele, banjo, and more, they’re serving up a night of fun in this concert-style show about life’s simple pleasures that received rave reviews both on and off Broadway, along with a Tony Nomination for Best Musical.
Set in a gas station and diner, the "Double Cupp Diner" on Highway 57, the musical stars four gas station attendants (L.M., Jackson, Jim and Eddy) and two waitresses (Prudie and Rhetta Cupp) who sing and play all manner of instruments including kitchen utensils! The music is a quirky, highly imaginative blend of country, rock-a-billy, swing, rock and roll and jazz.
Tickets for the Pump Boys and Dinettes are available online at pinedalefinearts.com and are also on sale at Boondocks Pizza, The Cowboy Shop, Office Outlets, The Big Piney Library and at the door the night of the performance. Ticket prices are $20 adults / $7 students / $2 extra at the door.
