Pinedale to host State hockey tournaments in March

PINEDALE, WYOMING - The Pinedale Hockey Association (PHA) has been selected to host both the 10U and 12U Division B Wyoming Amateur Hockey League State Championship tournaments at the Sublette County Ice Arena in March.
PHA submitted bids for both the Bantam (age 13-14) and Squirt (age 9-10) age divisions. Certain needs must be met for the community to be selected such as the availability of emergency services, hotel accommodations, and concessions among other things. This is great news for the Glaciers as well as the town of Pinedale, there is a lot of effort and coordination that goes into putting on an event of this magnitude.
The Squirt Tournament, March 3-5, will bring 8 teams with 109 rostered player, and the Bantam Tourney, March 10-12, will bring 6 teams, 92 rostered players. These tournaments will bring approximately 300 visitors to Pinedale each weekend.
The games are open to the public.

The Pinedale Hockey Association (PHA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the growth of ice hockey at all age levels and abilities. PHA provides an opportunity for recreational level hockey competition for kids ages 5 through 17 as well as Co-ed Adult and Men’s Teams.
