Public Meeting on Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan Update in Pinedale April 5
March 30, 2017
Sublette County including the municipalities of Pinedale, Big Piney and Marbleton are in the process of updating the 2008 Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan and are soliciting public input during the process. The plan identifies hazards such as floods, wildfires, drought, severe weather, earthquakes, and landslides among others and assesses their potential impacts to people and property.
A public meeting is being held to discuss the plan and solicit input on ideas to mitigate, or reduce, the impacts of hazards before they occur again. There will be a short presentation followed by a question and answer period. All are welcome to attend, learn more about the plan and hazards in the county, and participate in the process. The plan update will be part of a regional hazard mitigation plan that includes Fremont County and the Wind River Reservation.
The public can also provide input to the plan via an online survey that will close April 4th at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/WY_Region5
