Joe Sampson sent in this photo showing sandhill cranes have arrived in the Upper Green. These were seen north of New Fork Lake Road on Thursday, April 6th.

Pretty much all of the spring birds are back now. The next migrant we’ll be watching for are hummingbirds, which won’t be back until we get further into summer and have plants growing and flowers starting to bloom.
