Sharon Schell, painter and sculptor from Big Piney and WAA's 2017 president, has planned a "Mardi Gras" weekend chockful of activities. The convention kicks off Friday evening, May 5th, with a Quick Draw followed by an auction. Other activities include workshops, business luncheon, masquerade banquet and ball, presentation of the 2017 Grand Wyoming Artist award, and art exhibit. The exhibit includes categories in Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor, Graphics, Miniature, Congressional (selected paintings will be on display in Wyoming's Congressional offices in Washington, D.
