July Garden of Beauty – Mindi Crabb and Jeff Goltz
by Sage & Snow Garden Club
July 26, 2017
Mindi Crabb and Jeff Goltz, 5 Antelope Trail in the Half Moon Subdivision, are the proud recipients of Sage and Snow Garden Club’s first Garden of Beauty Award for 2017. Mindi and Jeff are adventurous gardeners who use a variety of methods to successfully grow vegetables in our difficult gardening environment. Jeff built the greenhouse, and Mindi filled it with tomatoes, tomatillos, peppers, basil, squash, and a small wood stove. The portable greenhouse has a metal frame with a nylon and plastic cover. Mindi also grows vegetables in ranch lick tubs and stock tanks outside the greenhouse. This year, they added a large asparagus raised garden bed to their yard. Their spacious yard is enhanced with a variety of native flowers, shrubs, and trees, including the beautiful heirloom yellow roses coveted by Sublette County gardeners.
