Fishing Report – August 12, 2017

Green River: The Green is fishing good and the water is coming down to a more avg level! The visibility is improving but still not great below Hustons. The Upper Green is flowing clear and has been for quite some time. Fish are feeding here and there, but not all day- so a little patience pays off this time of the year. Streamers have been working, but they usually do on the Green! Dry fly patterns that have been working are big attractors like PMX, hoppers, foam, or crickets! If you are trying to match the hatch, try pmds, blue wings, golden stones, Tricos, or caddis.
New Fork: The New Fork is still flowing good with water and the fish are starting to pool up a little. Fish banks tight and time of the day is important to finding some fish. Same flies as the green with a little more dry fly action in the evening on the New Fork. There have been lots of boats still working the town to Boulder section so get an early start.
We will be seeing a large number of recreational boats, floaters and people coming into town over the next week as the eclipse nearing. Be respectful to anyone using the rivers in our area and try to give anglers room to fish. Two Rivers hopes everyone has been enjoying the summer and if you need to go fishing-- give us a call!!
