Fishing Report – August 6, 2017

August 6, 2017
The fishing has been good throughout the last few weeks as the water levels have dropped and the flows are maintaining a level of consistency. The sunny, hot days have made the fishing slow from around 11:00 till 4:00 p.m. but there are still fish to be caught down low in the runs and close to the banks. August should have some great fishing so don't waste any more time, book a trip with us soon as the summer is still among us! August should have some great water levels and fishing opportunities! See you on the river!
Green River: Flows are below a 1000cfs for the first time since April. Fishing has been solid with streamers, nypmhs and dries. The traffic in our area has slowed down a lot so it has been nice to have some space again from the HERDS of boats we saw in July. There are so many sections of the Green to float so if you’re looking for specific info, call the shop! But the fishing is good!
New Fork: Flows are steady and the fishing has been good. Streamers have worked great on this river if the time of the day is right. Fish are moving into the deeper pools as the water temp is becoming a factor. Fight the fish quickly and handle them with care - the heat is a factor this time of the year!
