Kelly Park green post and pole timber available

PINEDALE, WYOMING - The Bridger-Teton National Forest, Pinedale Ranger District, has designated a 55-acre unit north of Pinedale to be made available to the public for harvesting green post and pole timber for personal use. The unit is located at Kelly Park, approximately 7 miles northeast of Pinedale, Wyoming along the Skyline Road. A map of the area Forest roads and unit boundary is available at the Pinedale District Office for interested parties.
The following bullets address key points to remember for accessing and taking timber within the unit boundaries:
A valid "green post/pole -Kelly Park" permit is required for harvest and can be obtained at any Bridger-Teton District Office or the Supervisor’s Office in Jackson, Wyoming.
Cutting of "5 needled" limber pine/white bark pine, or Aspen is not allowed. Only Lodgepole Pine or Douglas Fir are available for Post/Pole.
Permittees may drive up to 300 feet off of designated Forest Service Roads to access timber.
Boundary of unit is marked with fluorescent orange flagging. Corners of unit are double flagged. Yellow boundary signs are located along the unit boundary lines.
Green conifer trees larger than 6.9" are available with a valid "green firewood- Kelly Park" permit as long as firewood harvest standards are met. Pole lengths must be no longer than 8 feet.
