WLCI local Project Development Teams hold August meetings
Updates on conservation projects, project funding, field tours

The Local Project Development Teams for the Wyoming Landscape Conservation Initiative will meet at various locations in southwest Wyoming during the second half of August. Landowners, project proponents and the public are invited to attend the meetings, which will include updates on existing conservation projects, an overview of budget and project funding, and the possibility of field tours to various WLCI projects. Members of the public must provide their own transportation if they wish to join a field tour. The meetings are scheduled for: Carbon County Tuesday, August 15, 10:00 a.m. Little Snake River Conservation District Office Baggs, Wyoming Sweetwater County Friday, August 18, 9:00 a.m. Wyoming Game and Fish Department, Green River Regional Office Green River, Wyoming Lincoln/Uinta Counties Tuesday, August 22, 10:00 a.m. BLM Kemmerer Field Office Kemmerer, Wyoming Sublette County Thursday, August 31, 10:00 a.m. BLM Pinedale Field Office Pinedale, Wyoming

WLCI is a long-term, science-based effort to assess and enhance aquatic and terrestrial habitats at a landscape scale in southwest Wyoming, while facilitating responsible development of the region’s valuable energy resources. The WLCI Executive Committee is comprised of representatives from the Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Geological Survey, National Park Service, Natural Resource Conservation Service, Wyoming Department of Agriculture, Wyoming Game and Fish Department, conservation districts and county commissioners.
