Weather update, Friday, Sept. 15, 7:00AM: A major change in the weather on the way for the Upper Green River Valley and western Wyoming. Daytime temperatures will be in the 50/60sF with rain showers turning to rain/snow mix which could reach the valley floor. Isolated thunderstorms with snowfall possible for the mountains of western Wyoming over the next couple of days. Initially snow level will be about 8500 feet, then lowering to 6500 feet by Friday night (Pinedale is at 7100 feet). Those with outdoor interests should prepare for a major change toward more winter-like conditions through Saturday. Gardeners: nighttime temps likely to dip below freezing.
