Collection boxes placed for Operation Christmas Child
October 20, 2017
Samaritan’s Purse is holding a Christmas Shoebox Gift drive to collect gift items to give to children in 3rd world countries around the world. Pinedale Bible Church is sponsoring the program locally and has put out collection boxes in six locations around Pinedale.
Single items can be placed in the big collection boxes or take one of the smaller shoe boxes next to the bigger collection box and fill it with your donations, then return that to the collection box location by November 20th.
Donations can include a new toy (foam ball, etchasketch, slinky, air ball with pump, finger puppets, nonbreakables…), school supplies (pencils, pencil sharpener, glue stick, tape, notebooks…), stuffed animals, hygiene items (toothbrush, bar soap, comb, bandaids…), craft items (crayons, playdough, markers, watercolors, coloring books, colored pencils…), clothing (socks, shoes, shirts, pants, gloves, hair bows, tote bags, purses…). No toothpaste or candy please, due to customs regulations.
Collection boxes are at Office Outlet, Ridley’s, Bomgaars, Pine Coffee Supply, Rendezvous Pointe, and the Pinedale Aquatic Center (pick-up only). The gifts will be given to children in need around the world.
