One vehicle rollover in the Jonah Field
by Sublette County Unified Fire
November 30, 2017
November 30, 2017 - Thursday morning at approximately 2:45 AM, a one-vehicle rollover was reported to be 10 miles in on the Jonah North road from HWY 351. Units from Sublette County Unified Fire Battalions 2 and 4 responded to the call. A single tractor trailer was found to be on its side in the barrow ditch with the driver pinned inside the cab of the truck. Units from SCUF performed an extensive extrication to allow the driver to be rescued. All fire resources were released and returned quarters without incident.
From the Bureau of Labor Statistics: There were 1,268 heavy trucks involved in accidents in the State of Wyoming last year resulting in 238 injury and 17 fatality crashes.
SCUF would like to remind you from the Wyoming Highway Safety Program "Ultimately, individual driver awareness is the key to preventing crashes. Drivers and passengers alike should always remember to buckle up, observe posted speed limits and other traffic laws, and never drive when impaired by drugs, alcohol or fatigue."
