The Green River Valley Program of the Jackson Hole Land Trust is excited to be sponsoring a presentation on "The First Homes on the Range; Homesteading the Upper Green River Valley" as part of the Smithsonian’s Museum on Main Street exhibit "How We Worked" coming to the Pinedale Library this spring.

Local historian and author Ann Chambers Noble will be reading excerpts from the upcoming book by her and Jonita Sommers on the topic. Discussion will follow. The event will be at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 16 in the Lovatt Room at the Pinedale Library. Sommers Homestead Living History Museum will be bringing tools and equipment of the era to provide some hands-on examples of the challenges of daily living. The public is invited to attend this free event and participate in the conversation; feel free to bring stories from your family’s early days in the county!
