Notices from the Sublette County Sheriff’s Office – Sept. 27
September 27, 2018
The Sublette County Sheriff's Office and Sublette County Emergency Management are asking Kendall Valley residents that are affected by the power outage from the Roosevelt Fire near the Rim to go to the LDS Church in Pinedale. The Jackson Hole Red Cross location is now closed. The only Red Cross shelter open is in Pinedale at the LDS Church. We are sending residents to the shelter until power can re-established for Kendall Valley. The Incident Management Team is working to finish burn-out operations and restore power as soon as possible. Crews are assessing power lines as of 11am this morning.
At 9am this morning, The Sublette County Sheriff's Office, in cooperation with the Roosevelt Fire Incident team have evaluated the "GO" and "SET" areas. We have changed zone 3 Bondurant, Dell Creek including the Pfisterer Ranch south to Robinson Butte, downgraded to "SET" from "GO". This does not mean this area is safe to move home to stay. They should still be packed and ready to go should we need to evacuate the area again. Later today other areas will be evaluated and may change as well. Stay tuned for updates since this is an ongoing process.
Due to fire activity, the Sublette County Sheriff’s Office is re-emphasizing the evacuation order for the "GO" stage in area 8 that includes Jim Bridger Estates south to Merna, Horse Creek, to Dry Beaver. If you are in this area you should leave immediately. For further updates stay tuned to the Sublette County Sheriff’s Office, and Sublette County Emergency Management Facebook pages, KPIN and Pinedale Online.
