Funfest at White Pine on Oct. 13

White Pine is holding their annual Oktober Funfest on Saturday, October 13th. The fun begins from noon on. It will be a day full of great activities for the whole family, with free food, ice cream, lemonade and iced tea. This is a great opportunity to get your season pass and learn more about the White Pine Junior Snowsports Club and Learn to Ski programs. There will be a Scavenger Hunt for the kids in the Enchanted Forest. Weather permitting, the chair lift will be running from 2-4PM for free rides to the top of the mountain. Pick up information about the newly opened portion of the Elkhart Loop Trail.
Scavenger Hunt in the Enchanted Forest: That’s the area just to the west of the lift line. There are plans to remove the deadfall before the beginning of ski season and create a fun area for youngsters. For Funfest on Saturday, White Pine plans to have a scavenger hunt with prizes for every participant who is able to find the hidden treasure in the forest.
Walk the Elkhart Loop Trail to Surveyor Park Trail: Weather permitting, ride the lift to the top of the mountain and then walk down to the top of Wind River to pick up Elkhart Loop Trail. White Pine employees have worked hard over the summer clearing downed trees and marking the trail. There are fabulous views along the route. Pick up the info sheet at the lodge. Allow 2.5-3 hours to do the walk and wear sturdy walking shoes – carry water and snacks.
White Pine Junior Snowsports Club: This is a new club. For $25 annual membership, receive monthly vouchers for free stuff (hot chocolate & pizza, discounted buddy lift tickets/ski rental & tubing) as well as discounts in the retail store.
White Pine Tubing Season Pass: White Pine will be offering single and family tubing tickets this season. Cost is $99 for an individual and $299 for a family pass (up to 4 passes). White Pine All Mountain Lift Season Pass holders can pick up an individual tubing season pass for $59. Take advantage of a 10% discount on all tubing season passes at the Oktober Funfest on Saturday, October 13th when purchased at White Pine.

White Pine is hiring: For those interested in working at the resort, there will be a Job Fair (they have openings for lift operators, ski rental, ski school, maintenance, ticketing, kitchen, cleaning help.) If you can’t make it on Saturday for the Funfest, fill out a job application online.
