A triple amputee, Purple Heart recipient, veteran in Florida has set up a GoFundMe account for people to contribute money to help build the wall along the Mexican border. Vet Brian Kolfage states, "If the 63 million people who voted for Trump each pledge $80, we can build the wall. That equates to roughly 5 Billion Dollars, even if we get half, that's half the wall. We can do this."
The campaign went up on Sunday, Dec. 16th. In the three days since the "We The People Will Fund The Wall" campaign has been up, it has raised millions of dollars. The original goal was $200 million. That goal has been bumped up to $1 billion.
At the time we started writing this article this morning, the amount donated was at $6.6 million. Checking back several hours later by midafternoon, the amount was $8,354,381. Now at the time of posting this article this evening around 11PM, the amount raised shows $10,693,078.
