White Pine Ski Resort, Pinedale, Wyoming, announced today (Saturday, Jan. 12) that any Furloughed Federal employee can receive a free all-day, all-mountain, lift ticket on Monday, January 14, 2019. They just need to go to the White Pine Ticket Office in White Pine Lodge and show ID and Federal credentials.
White Pine is a ski area completely on the Bridger-Teton National Forest and operates under a USFS Special Use Permit administered by Pinedale Ranger District.
Co-Owner Alan Blackburn stated "I saw on TV News where restaurants in D.C. were giving free meals to furloughed employees, so I thought we could also help locally with a free lift ticket!"
The offer is good for this Monday, January 14th and will be repeated on future Mondays if the situation is not resolved this week.
