Sunny Korfanta Giant Slalom a day of fun

The Sunny Korfanta Giant Slalom was held on Saturday, January 26th at White Pine Ski Resort. The event is sponsored by the Sublette County Ski and Snowboard Association.
This fun race is in honor of one of Pinedale's most notable skiers, Albert "Sunny" Korfanta. His contributions and pioneering spirit is celebrated annually at this event as he was instrumental in opening the ski hill in 1940.
The course is set under the Little Spirit lift at White Pine Ski Area. It's a fun race for all abilities, beginner to expert, and an opportunity to race your friends and family down the dual course. Skiers and snowboarder are all welcome. Competitors in this year's Annual Sunny Korfanta Dual Giant Slalom ranged in age from 3 years old to an 85 year old.
The next event on the Sublette County Ski and Snowboard Association's calendar is the Flamingo Cup on March 9, 2019.
