‘Era of Megafires’ presentation Aug. 15 at Kendall Valley Fire Hall
Dealing with massive destructive wildlfires

The public is invited to see a presentation about mega-wildfires on Thursday, August 15th at 6:30PM at the Kendall Valley Fire Hall, 2470 Hwy 352 north of Cora.
The rise of highly destructive megafires - wildfires over 100,000 acres - has become a pressing and complex problem. The Era of Megafires is a 60 minute multi-media presentation that combines the research of Dr. Paul Hessburg (Pacific Northwest Research Station, U.S.F.S.) with the award-winning visual storytelling of North 40 Productions. Designed to engage a wide audience, the presentation material comes in the form of a fast moving, topic based talks interspersed with compelling video vignettes and animations.
The video will also be given in Pinedale in the Lovatt Room of the Pinedale Library on Thursday, Sept. 12th at 6:30PM. The two showings are presentations of Sublette County Unified Fire.
