Predator Board to meet Dec. 13

The annual operational meeting of the Sublette County Predatory Animal Damage Management Board has been set for Friday, Dec. 13th at 1 p.m. in the county commission meeting room of the courthouse in Pinedale. This is the meeting where the board discusses and sets its plan of work for the next year.
Among the items on the agenda are election of sheep and cattle producer representatives to the board. Board president Pete Arambel is seeking re-election to his seat representing sheep owners, and a director representing cattle interests will be elected for a three-year term to fill a board vacancy. To qualify, candidates must be cattle owners having paid predator management fees on cattle in Sublette County in the last year. Cattle and sheep owners having paid predator fees in the last year in Sublette County are able to vote during the election, with one vote per ranch.
The board will also hold a discussion of interest in aerial gunning/pilot permits for individuals not working for the predator board, and the development of criteria to determine eligibility for issuing such permits. Interested pilots and gunners are encouraged to attend the meeting and to be prepared to answer questions from the board.
