SCUF accepting applications for new volunteer firefighters

In response to the growing need for new volunteer firefighters, Sublette County Unified Fire (SCUF) is currently accepting applications for interested people who want to serve their community, help their neighbors, and become a volunteer firefighter.
Volunteer firefighters in Sublette County respond to emergencies of our families, friends and neighbors who are in need of assistance. Firefighters are there to protect lives and property by responding to house fires, car accidents, wildland fires, technical rescues, hazardous materials incidents, and numerous other types of emergencies.
Firefighters are a special type of people, with many different reasons for answering the call of duty. Some like the challenges and the adrenaline rush, while others like to sharpen their emergency skills and techniques. Some like to strengthen their community and help their neighbors, while others like the camaraderie and friendships that are developed within the fire department. Every firefighter answers the call so that they can help someone in need.
There is a place in the fire department for every person who wants to get involved. Regardless of age, physical ability, or available time, if you are interested in joining, contact the fire department and get involved. Becoming a volunteer firefighter can be the most rewarding experience of your life, and allows you to reach out to someone in need. Together with Sublette County Unified Fire, you can ensure that there is always someone to answer the call when someone needs help.
