After careful consideration, the Pinedale Aquatic Center has decided to retire The Haunting after its 11-year run. In its place, we are excited to announce two new programs to celebrate the Halloween season.
On Saturday, October 26 PAC will be hosting "The Zombie Dash". This is a 2 mile(ish) fun run. The Zombie Dash is kind of like tag, kind of like flag football, and kind of like trick or treat, and kind of like the walking dead. The idea behind this fun run is that each runner starts the race with a designated number of flags. Along the course, there are "Zombie Zones" where our "running dead" are hiding. The goal is to get through all the Zombie Zones with your flags still intact. The fastest ‘surviving’ runner, who still has a flag when they cross the finish line is the winner. Participants can pre-register at the PAC, or sign up the morning of the race. Cost is $15 to run with 2 flags. Additional flags can be purchased for $5 each. The race will start at PAC at 10am. Costumes are encouraged and prizes will be given to the top three survivors and the best zombie.
The second event we are hosting this year is "Thriller Night" on Halloween, Thursday, October 31st. This spooky costume dance is for students in 6th- 8th grade. We can’t give away too many details, as we don’t want to ruin the element of surprise, however this will be a great place for 6th-8th grade students to come and hang out on Halloween Night, from 7-9pm at PAC.
