ExxonMobil donates to Western Wyoming Community College
To support the school’s Oil and Gas Technology Program
December 17, 2019
Western Wyoming Community College (WWCC) recently received a $3,200 donation from ExxonMobil to support the Oil and Gas Technology Program at the college. Over many past years, ExxonMobil has generously made annual donations to Western. WWCC is located in Rock Springs, Wyoming.
Western’s Oil and Gas Program provides substantial employee training and development that benefits companies throughout Wyoming developing the state’s oil and gas resources. The program offers core courses related to natural gas processing that prepare students for careers as production technicians. The program’s curriculum was developed in partnership with the oil and gas industry. Scholarships through these kinds of donations have benefitted many students at WWCC.
Students may pursue a two-year Associate of Applied Arts degree or a one-year Oil & Gas Production Operator’s Certificate. Additionally, Western provides workforce training, including safety training, for oil and gas workers who are already in the field.
