At the January 13, 2020 regular Pinedale Town Council meeting, Councilman John Paravicini submitted a Letter of Resignation, effective the end of that meeting. He said it was with great sadness that he was resigning from the Council, having served on it for the past 18 months. He intends to apply for the Sublette County Assessor position that just opened up with the resignation of Jeness Saxton. Paravicini has worked in the Assessor’s office for sixteen years and is a good potential candidate to step into her position for the remainder of the term.

"I would like to thank Mayor Murdock and my fellow Council members for the privilege of helping govern my hometown these past 18 months. I am proud of the many accomplishments that we have realized and hope that my replacement will help maintain the momentum and positive environment that we have created…. Lastly, I would like to thank the residents of Pinedale who trusted me to serve on this Council. It has always been my goal to give my best efforts to improve our town and make it a place that we, and future generations, can be proud of."

Mayor Matt Murdock and the other Council members thanked Paravicini for his service and dedication to the position.

The Pinedale Town Council will address the vacancy at their next Town Council meeting and announce the steps for advertising for applications of interest to fill Councilman Paravicini’s vacant chair. The seat has another 2-1/2 years to go on the term.
