The Jackson Hole Travel & Tourism Board (TTB), the entity tasked with tourism promotion in the valley, issued a surprising message for potential visitors on March 24th: "Stay home" The TTB said they were making the request in order to minimize the spread of the corona virus and exposure of locals to the disease. "Our finite local resources and the limited capacity of our local health care system are not adequate to support tourism due to the COVID-19 pandemic." Jackson had over 2 million visitors in 2018. Currently they have three confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the county. There have been no deaths due to the coronavirus to date in Wyoming.
