Nordic ski trail grooming report – March 30, 2020
by Mike Looney, Groomer, Sublette County Recreation Board
March 30, 2020
Monday, March 30, 2020, 8:30AM report: Most trails above groomed this morning. 20F degrees at the Nordic Equipment Building. Sun’s coming out. Recommend skiing in the morning to mid-morning because temperatures in the afternoon are above freezing, in the high 30s, which causes things to be soft. Be cautious, especially on downhills - very firm conditions especially on south facing slopes. Crust skiing good on sunny slopes in the morning, softening as the day goes on. Recommend avoiding the CCC trails area. The migrating deer are stacking up along Skyline Drive - be cautious when driving up to the ski trails and in the vicinity of the CCC trails.
