March 27, 2020
In response to guidance from the Wyoming Department of Education (WDE), Sublette County School District 1 (SCSD1) has released an Adapted Learning Plan that addresses how the district will provide remote learning opportunities to students should the current closure extend beyond April 3rd. SCSD 1 has communicated directly with families regarding the contents of this plan. It is also available on the district website at www.sub1.org. The plan can be accessed on the front page of the website in a tile entitled "SCSD 1 Adapted Learning Plan" The Adapted Learning plan is designed to provide students with meaningful instruction that aligns with the mission and vision of the Sublette County School District 1 while schools are closed to students in response to the pandemic. "While this format can never truly replace in-person interactions with a classroom teacher, it is our intent to maximize the multitude of resources within our learning community to maintain educational continuity and to meet state guidelines until schools return to in-person instruction", said Superintendent Jay Harnack. Harnack also added that "The plan is likely to evolve over time as we work through the process of implementing the plan and get more guidance from the Wyoming Department of Education and health officials. It’s meant to be adaptable."
