The corona virus pandemic has caused many towns, counties and states to issue "Shelter-in-Place" orders to try to minimize social interaction that can spread the virus. As of today’s numbers from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), there were 103,321 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the United States and there have been 1,668 deaths. According to the CDC, the source of the exposure for 712 of the confirmed cases was "travel related." Wyoming is very rural, and our connection to others is by our roads. We thought it would be interesting to use all the many webcams around the state as a visual representation of how well people are obeying the shelter-in-place and self-isolating requests and orders. These photos were gathered mostly from Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) road webcams between around 7PM to 7:30ish on Saturday evening, March 28th. All roads viewed were dry and the weather during the day was pleasant and sunny.
