Sublette County Courthouse access restricted
COVID-19 precautions
by Sublette County
March 19, 2020
March 18, 2020: Please be advised that pursuant to the guidance of the Sublette County Health Officer, as of 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 the Sublette County Courthouse is partially restricting public access to all County Departments located in the Courthouse. The County asks that the public refrain from all non-essential transactions and business in the Courthouse at this time. If you must come to the Courthouse, please enter through the doors on the northwest side of the building on Tyler Street and you will be helped by County staff.
As of 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 19, 2020 public access to all County facilities will be restricted. All County Departments will be staffed and continue to do business by phone, fax, regular mail, and email during normal business hours (Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M). Essential services such as law enforcement, fire protection, search and rescue and emergency dispatch/911 will still be available. Please check the Sublette County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page for updates to County operations and information on the Covid-19 virus. This restriction will be continually revaluated by the Sublette County Health Officer and will be suspended once he determines the measure is no longer warranted.
Since testing is limited, and there is no current vaccine, social distancing and limiting public interactions are the best and most effective steps the County and citizens alike can take to "flatten the curve" and limit transmission of the Covid-19 virus. The County understands that this restriction to County facilities will be inconvenient and frustrating for the public, and this action is not taken lightly. The County is taking these steps to ensure the safety of the public and its employees. The County asks for patience from the public at this time, and please know the County is doing everything it can to ensure that its operations continue uninterrupted.
Also, from the Sublette County Sheriff’s Office: Fingerprints: As of Tuesday, March 17th 2020 we are suspending Citizen Fingerprint service. We are here to serve our community, but we also wish to help flatten the curve of possible spread. Detention Center Programs: As of Monday, March 16th 2020, we will be suspended all Inmate Programs and visitations to inmates in the Sublette County Detention Center. This is to protect our inmate population and minimize any exposure. We apologize for any inconvenience and we will update everyone when these services resume.
