Sublette County Libraries close March 18

The Sublette County Libraries will close on Wednesday, March 18th at 5 pm and will remain closed until further notice to help minimize the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak. This was a difficult decision to make as we take pride in going above and beyond in service to our community while also serving as a community gathering place to Sublette County.
All library programs and events are cancelled; at this time there are no rescheduled dates. Meetings scheduled for the libraries’ meeting rooms are also cancelled with the exception of government meetings. Library staff will contact the holders of meeting reservations.
We recognize the concerns that our patrons may have of not being able to access library materials during the closure. If you would like to stock up on library materials, you are welcome to come to the library and check out as many materials as you wish before the closure. We have increased the number of movies you may check out to 15; there is no limit on the number of books and other items. Staff will be able to issue you a library card if you do not have one. Please note that while our surfaces are being wiped down as often as staff is able to do so, we cannot sanitize every book, magazine, or movie.
We encourage you to hold on to any library materials you currently have checked out. There is no need to return items in the book drop unless you are leaving town indefinitely. Due dates on checked out materials will be suspended during the library closure; there will be no fines for overdue materials – it is our regular policy to not charge overdue fines.
The Libraries’ downloadable ebooks, eaudiobooks and more are available through our website (www.sublettecountylibrary.org) on your mobile device for free with your library card number and PIN. Our regular 24/7 WiFi access will also be available outside the library buildings.
Library staff will be available via phone or email to answer your questions or assist with digital resources on a limited basis during the closure.
