Teton County issues strict shutdown of public spaces and prohibits all dine-in food services
March 18, 2020
On Tuesday, March 17th, the State Health Officer signed a Public Health Order that will close certain public places and place restrictions on restaurants in Teton County. The order becomes effective at 5PM on Wednesday, March 18.
The order closes all theaters (film or stage), bars, coffee/tea shops, tasting rooms, employee cafeterias, self-service buffets/salad bars, unpackaged self-serve food services, night clubs/saloons/taverns, country clubs, plus all communal pools, hot tubs, locker rooms, conference rooms, museums, and fitness centers.
According to the order, restaurants, including coffee shops that operate like a restaurant and serve food, may remain open if the restaurant notifies Teton County Environmental Health that they intend to remain open and prohibit all dine-in food service. Cash payment is strongly discouraged. It is strongly encouraged to use online payment apps where possible. The order does not include retail, grocery or pharmacy. Management shall and must ensure, on a daily basis, that no employee who presents symptoms of illness will be permitted to work.
