March 17, 2020: White Pine Ski Resort is closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and is following guidance of local, state and federal government and health officials to assess this evolving situation.
For now, the ski area plans to remain open while immediate risk is minimal and continue to monitor state and local authorities’ updates and advice. White Pine Resort offers wide-open spaces, fresh mountain air, and thousands of acres of forest. "Our family-friendly resort remains committed to providing our guests and employees an enjoyable and safe mountain getaway."
Here are some of the actions that White Pine is taking to help prevent the spread: • Hand sanitization tubs will continue to be provided in heavily trafficked locations • The facilities are cleaned/disinfected daily (sometimes twice daily). They have increased the frequency of disinfection and cleaning specifically of high-touch indoor areas, such as bathrooms, lodge, eating surfaces, doors, door handles, tables/chairs, bar, check-in/payment counters, etc.
Winter operations for the rest of March are Friday, Saturday and Sundays. Lifts run 9AM to 4PM.
Their last day of the season will be Sunday, March 29th.
They have special events scheduled for Saturday and Sunday of their final weekend. Saturday, March 28 will be a Cardboard Classic Sled Race from 9AM to Noon. There will be prizes for Fastest Craft and Most Creative Craft. Registration and judging start at 8AM. The Tubing Hill will be open to the public after the race, cost only $5 for tubing.
Sunday, March 29th will be their Spring Fling Bash. There will be music, food, skiing, crazy costumes. Prizes for Best Women’s and Best Men’s costumes. Possibly a Pond Skimming event, depending on snow.
